Joe then earned a post-baccalaureate degree in biological sciences from Tufts University before completing his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati and residency at the University of Louisville. While at the University of Louisville, he served as chief resident and worked in the emergency room as a pediatric hospitalist.
Before joining The Children’s Clinic, Joe was a pediatric hospitalist for GHS Children’s Hospital. He currently is medical editor of GHS’ Focus on Pediatrics magazine and writes a lay column for the Greenville Journal.
Joe lives in Greenville with his wife, Kristen, and their three children: Lilly, Anna Jane and Jack. When he’s not taking care of sick children or writing, he enjoys spending time with his family hiking, camping, and playing in the many parks and attractions that the Upstate has to offer. The family also volunteers at Serenity Place and enjoys worshiping and serving at Grace Church Downtown.
